what we can do for you
We make fitness accessible by bringing movement to places people already go to, like work, home, community centers etc.
Our mission is to help your community move toward your health, wellness, and productivity goals in a fun, safe, and accessible environment. Our program promotes an engaged, active, and social culture; resulting in positive outcomes for businesses and individuals by making movement more accessible and educational. We aim to address low morale, declining mental and physical health, and their negative effects on communities. We do this by encouraging engagement, leveraging the power of the group, and using evidence-based training to increase physical activity, social connectedness, and overall well-being.

Progression
Accessibility: A cornerstone of the JOYn US Movement training program is the use of progressions and regressions for each exercise. These are tailored to suit the varying abilities and needs of the participants. Classes are designed to be accessible to everyone, from beginners with no fitness experience to established athletes. We leverage the energy of the group to motivate, inspire and empower each participant to engage at their highest ability.
Low Liability Training: Our low-impact training program also complements other fitness programs, such as physical therapy, specialized performance training (e.g., marathons), and weighted strength training. It supports participants at any training level in achieving their goals.
Participant Centered Training: We take a coaching-style approach to classes, which sets us apart from traditional music-driven group fitness classes. In traditional group fitness classes, instructors lead the entire session alongside participants, who often focus on the instructor rather than paying attention to their own bodies. In contrast, our coaching approach involves demonstrating each exercise 1–2 times, after which instructors move around the room to provide individual assistance and/or verbal cues to the group. This approach gives participants a sense of autonomy and focus and enables each to progress at their optimal pace.

benefits of investing in health and social connectedness
Benefits of Group Movement for your Business/Community

Growth & Innovation
Regular group exercise contributes to increased productivity, mental health, physical fitness, disease control and prevention, and social connectedness. These positive outcomes increase participants' investment in your organization, as well as their likelihood of staying and recommending the organization to their own network. This increases the organization's interaction internally and in the community.
Teambuilding & Engagement
Recurring opportunities to meet and interact help nurture existing bonds and create new relationships in communities. Experiencing challenge as a group offers participants opportunities to connect with each other as well as your organization. Leading to higher productivity, lower stress, positive perception of the organization, and a greater sense of belonging and participation.

Eliminating Barriers
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) classifies 35% of adults in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia as obese and 35% as overweight. That is 70% of our adult community. Statistics ar similar throughout the country. Offering access to credible, health and fitness programs in places people already go to (work, community centers, home, etc.) increases the likelihood of continued adherence to regular exercise.
